All I can say is I stayed at a JV hotel in China, can't remember which one, and in the bar there was a bartender and 4 waitresses, with seating for about 12 people. Sure service was great, but nothing economical about it. Went to an export company (wholly Chinese), employess were playing cards, someone was sleeping on a desk, a couple looked like they were shuffling some papers, but soon got in on the card game.
