Absolutely right...and something we should never lose sight of but, of course, as we've already admitted, some of us try to play it both ways with at least a portion of our investable capital.
Let's face it, up or down, it's a bit of a rush to play the s/t volitility game. If, as a growing number of gurus suggest, a 10 pct. market correction is right around the corner and LSI dips to <20, I'll be in there buying with both hands again. The moment those same shares are worth >25, I'll be itching to sell. The l/t portion, however, is hibernating in that 'no-dog-food-in-retirement-for-me' account (despite the canine commonality-- ;-))
