Makers of the Versa Pad and other cordless mouse products
Over 60 patents on their technology

CAMARILLO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 27, 1998--Interlink
Electronics Inc. (Nasdaq:LINK), Wednesday announced that the company's
patented VersaPad touchpad has been integrated by SONY Corp. into its new super slim VAIO 505G notebook PC, to be introduced in the United States later this month.

"SONY's integration of Interlink's new VersaPad touchpad benchmarks our introduction of this product in the United States," said Bill Yates, senior vice president of marketing and sales.

"VersaPad is not only the world's thinnest OEM touchpad, but also the first to support graphics input applications using an ordinary stylus. VersaPad offers OEM's a whole new set of options including document annotation and signature capture.

"The new SONY VAIO 505G," Yates continued, "weighs less than three pounds and is less than one inch thick. It is one of the new generation of super-thin, downsized notebook PCs. Interlink's VersaPad, also integrated into the SONY PCG 505 introduced in Japan, is an ideal input device for this new class of subnotebook.
