No Gateway announcement yet. This is potentially disappointing because Gateway's new "YourWare" program could be complimented by Wave's economical 'pay-per-use' content distribution solution for both CD ROM bundling and Internet access. Nevertheless, Gateway could still figure in the picture for Wave.

Klingerg, I suppose a strong case can be made to introduce the WaveMeter when it can stand alone on a pedestal and not be part of a 'group' or 'package' announcement. Obviously E3 would be the ideal venue. It's just a little frustrating to be tempted with the possibility of news on 'the day before' and then have to keep waiting, but I really shouldn't be second-guessing the strategy of Wave and Fleishman Hillard.

Let's all hang in there and quite possibly Gateway and Creative will both be part of a 'Wave Only' announcement at E3. There is one other thing to consider regarding Wave and Creative that occured to me last Sunday while exploring the Great Stuff network. On the front page Wave features three 'go to' categories: New Stuff; Hot Stuff and Free Stuff. There is only one software title listed under Free Stuff and it is an impressive multi-media internet program by Creative that provides music and entertainment - creativeinspire.com. Why would Wave give Creative that kind of exposure for a hot piece of software that could sell big from the Internet (there is obviously more and better stuff that is not free but looks very tempting)? Does anyone know how long this software has been offered as Free Stuff?
