Dump Schwab (in my opinion) immediately. I have e.Schwab for my SEP plan, but have also resorted to DLJ Direct ($20 per 1000) and finally a little brokerage firm 2 blocks from my office for the pennys ($14.95 unlimited), which is also on-line. Since these firms don't like to lose accounts, the fastest way to convert (when you have down time for your money) is to liquidate, and take the cash. Otherwise, everything is held up for a couple of weeks.
