Actually, a 300 mile radius is a reasonable distance. But, didn't PLFM say 300 mile DIAMETER?? Do a "line of sight" solution for 60,000 feet, and you'll come up with a lot more. A 400+ mile radius. Guaranteed signal signal strength, may be the reason that the "footprint" area is so conservative.
