Hi Folks! Alright, get ready for an SI "Mining Review" <gg> 'journalistic' interview with Marum's president Richard Boulay, from yesterday - -
Q: When do you expect Apex to have our awaited lab results ready? A: Possibly as soon as tomorrow (Wednesday). As to when CaribGold announces them I can't say, but they won't hold it secret for long because they like to keep their shareholders informed. Q: What are the plans for Marum in the field, now? A: Tom Bryant is mobilizing to the field in a few days. Tom works for Micrex and is contracted out to Marum at my request. He is going without the concentrator to get a head start on the anomaly reconnaissance and to build up a sample stockpile. Tom is the discoverer of the Legend diamonds in Etzicom Coulee. The concentrator will follow about a week later. The particular area we will be working is ideal for concentrating indicators or diamond. Also, the Cretaceous-age beach deposits are of great interest to me since they represent massive, horizontal targets. We'll see. Q: What are your thoughts on the newly acquired airmags? A: The new geophysics look really great. The targets are crisp and distinct and will be easy to prioritize, but I will leave that up to Apex. Q: Apex is in charge of all field operations, then? A: The way its shaping up is that I will be directing the "horizontal" program and Apex will run the "vertical" (i.e. pipe) program. We (Tom's crew) will be primarily bulk sampling stream deposits and crumbly rock and they (Apex) will be managing the drilling. Q: 'Horizontal targets,' 'horizontal program' -- very interesting. What are the implications? A: I really like the horizontal play since it is a long shot sleeper with impeccable geological credentials. No one is expecting massive beach deposit hosted diamond concentrations and if these are present they will be extremely important. Also, they are inexpensive to explore. We'll see. ===================END of interview===================
In reviewing Marum's last NR, note the line:
"...these target patterns, or clusters, although some are linear patterns over 8km long, are not related to glacial till deposits since till is very thin throughout the Chinchaga area. Neither are they related to stream sediment deposits since most of the patterns cut across existing drainage networks."
- The 8km long linear patterns are what, I'm assuming, Boulay refers to in his comments re. the Cretaceous-age beach deposits. :^> That is massive.
Cheers, -j :> PS-- Remember Marum has been in this area for several years already -- this makes for a much better interpretation and understanding.
