Ernest & Others: I've heard a lot about SQL Server not scaling. But with a $2.5B R&D budget, most of it going into Server technologies, that will change probably very soon. Already MS has demo'd clustered NT boxes. Makes sense - after all NT is largely based on VAX/VMS. What happens when SQL Server also scales to the enterprise. How will Oracle compete? Object technology? I think MS may be closer than people think.
