tippet, I respectfully disagree. Offering financing only matches what's available to buyers of competitors' products through retail channels such as Computer City or CompUSA. This kind of financing can be incredibly profitable, so as long as they don't get sloppy about granting of credit, I see this as a positive.

OTOH, surely they offered financing before, didn't they? I guess throwing software and ISP services into one monthly bill with the hardware may be new. The residual guaranty is no big deal, IMO.
