Foreign Policy Issues- Clinton to visit China.

JPR and everyone:

I have a feeling that the U.S foreign policy will continue to tilt towards China vis-a-vis India for the following reasons.

1.Economic interests.

As it stands right now the Chinese market is much larger than Indian markets for the U.S goods and services.

2.Military strength.

As we all know China has a much stronger and growing military apparatus than India and therefore is of more importance strategically to the U.S much more so than India.

Therefore my assumption is that China will continue to enjoy better relations with U.S than India in the foreseeable future. Indo/US relations will be lukewarm at best and continue to be so for some time to come unless of course if India all of a sudden can offers a better economic and military interest to the U.S which is seems very unlikely.

Any thoughts??????
