Chris, when you have proven that looking at a chart gives anything more than a random chance of forecasting the future I will agree to call it analysis. In the mean time I will continue to characterize as neomysticism applied to the stock market. In the mini-crash last October we had a good dose of that nonsense posted here. We had dojis and crows, and a fair amount of ursal excrement scattered around. I am sure you are well-meaning, but in my opinion this is all meaningless crap. The Nasdaq has been hit fairly hard for the past month, but if you look at Dell it has done quite well. This is a volatile stock, with a beta of around 2.2, which mean it is more than twice as volatile as the rest of the market. Had you bought Dell at its euphoric peak of 53 late last summer you would be realizing a 55% gain at this point, and the driver has been industry-leading earnings and growth, a superb-looking balance sheet and an impeccably executed business plan. And what does your "analysis" tell us about that? What does your "analysis" tell us about the state of the capital markets?

I reiterate my challenge: show me statistical proof that your "analysis" means anything.
