I don't know about Texas,
But when I'm in upstate New York or in Canada 157...heck, 257...miles is a breeze.
But that's cuz there is nothing between point A and point B except a buncha deer, trees, and other useless stuff. Well, useless if your bladder is not full. Not so many trees in Jersey.
Here in NJ I do not need to travel to find something to do. A quick hop to NY and I can buy burritos and drugs, over to Newark and there are handguns and assault pistols. Nearby are card games, golf courses, you name it.
For comic relief I just wait for the News Channels to tell me what Mayor Guiliani said today at a press conference in NYC.
The Meadowlands, Belmont, and a few others are not far.
I imagine driving across Texas beats parts of New York. I spent a week traveling from Saratoga through the Adirondacks on my way to Canada one day. The people up there are still using Indian Trails, I think.
And those Indians must have been messin' with the white settlers. |
