DELSOFT CONSULTING Purchases Year 2000 (Y2K) Remediation Tool
ROSWELL, Ga., May 27 /PRNewswire/ -- DELSOFT CONSULTING INC. (OTC Bulletin Board: DSFT - news) today announced it has purchased the assets of NYE2000 Inc., a Canadian Company based in Ottawa, Canada. The sole asset of NYE2000 is a Year 2000 (Y2K) remediation tool. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The Y2K remediation tool, known as NYE2000 is a NATURAL(TM) aware coded itself in NATURAL) software product that facilitates the analysis and conversion of NATURAL source code to make it Year 2000 compliant. NYE2000 is designed to be easy to use, efficient, and deliver fast and accurate results that will ensure DELSOFT clients' mission critical software programs are prepared for the Year 2000.
NYE2000 ensures more accurate results for clients' Year 2000 conversion projects through a sophisticated process for identifying and expanding date reference fields. Users spend less time searching for non-standard date references thanks to NYE2000's advanced 3-step process for date reference identification. Actual code remediation is faster with NYE2000 thanks to Marked Up Code (MUC) reports that clearly identify code that has the suspect date fields. The MUC report is a detailed document that can be used by programmers to quickly identify and analyze date field problems. These reports can
also be used to enhance testing of the remedied application. The unprecedented accuracy of the NYE2000 date identification
and conversion process reduces the amount of time spent on post conversion testing, saving both time and money in the drive
to have your company's legacy software updated for the Year 2000.
In addition to the purchase of NYE2000, effective immediately, the technical staff and inventors of NYE2000 will join DELSOFT to assist the Company in all sales and marketing efforts relating to the tool. Their collective expertise will enable DELSOFT to market, deliver and support Y2K projects utilizing NYE2000.
Mr. Michael Gordon, a co-inventor of NYE2000, has significant xperience in Information Technology. He served as a principal Instructor for Software AG (Canada) providing educational expertise in NATURAL to a broad base of clients in Canada and the United States. In his last position, Mr. Gordon was extensively involved in NATURAL Year 2000 Conversion Projects. Mr. Gordon's technical background in Natural complemented by his Year 2000 expertise adds enviable depth to DELSOFT's NATURAL Millennium venture.
Mr. Geoff Oliver, a co-inventor of NYE2000, has extensive technical background in NATURAL. During the past several years, he has been involved in major Year 2000 conversion projects for clients using NATURAL in Canada and the United States. Mr. Oliver's ability to successfully apply these complementary specialized skills will play a significant role in DELSOFT's successful resolution of its clients' Year 2000 date issues.
Mr. Julius Toth brings 26 years of international project and business management and technical experience to DELSOFT. In his last position as Vice President of Information Technology for a major organization in Canada's National Capital Region, Mr. Toth played a key role in building and managing successful system integration businesses for a broad client base in both the public and private sector. His services, included management of a Year 2000 PMO for a major telecommunications firm.
Mr. Toth will assume responsibility for DELSOFT's Canadian operations and his addition will further strengthen the DELSOFT management team.
The price for remediating NATURAL code in the U.S. has run from $0.50 to $1.25 per line of code.
