re: PCs that are more powerful than they need to be. True, if all you want to do is run DOS 6.1 or Windows 3.1 and play Solitaire. Who did this conference call? Gartner Group or the Microsoft spin machine. Microsoft has been saying for years now for investors to expect slower growth. Microsoft has gone up quite alot in those years. Dell has always had stiff competition. Intel has defined and will continue to redefine what a desktop PC is. Microsoft will continue to leverage that speed and the i-net using commercial sector will continue to require that speed in processing data and images AND business requirements.
