"the issue of Hebrew being an appropriate language to worship Godis now dead"
This has never been an issue and you know it. You are a deceitful person to even uggest it. Every language is equally appropriate to worship God. In the New Covenant in Christ, Christians worship God in spirit and in truth. You have not yet learned this simple principle of Christianity.
What is inappropriate, is your usage of the Hebrew language as an icon and an idol. You use Hebrew words as if they have power within themselves without the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The modern Jewish Rabbis who reject Jesus use many fancy Hebrew prayers Saturday, but they are all meaningless and without power without faith in Jesus Christ because no one comes to the Fahter but through Christ. The only thing that gives words power is God's anointing which comes through faith in Jesus. I believe God choose the Greek language in the translation of the Septuagint and in the New Covenant Scsriptures to break this "Hebrew" language idolatry. The Apostles, disciples and all other missionaries throughout the ages have used the vernacular of the people to spread the Gospel. In the days of Jesus and the Apostles, Greek was the universal language and that is the language that they used. I have known some Greek Orthodox who have made the Greek language into an idol in much the same way as some misguided Christians and "messianic" Jews have done. The Roman Catholic forced usage of Latin after the Council of Trent is another example of language idolatry. Language idolatry has done much harm to the Gospel of Jesus.
I also support the use of the Hebrew language in evangelizing the modern Hebrew speaking Israelis. I even support the usage of the Hebrew language in enticing Jews to listen to the Gospel. In short, I support anything that can help bring people to Christ. ----------
Your inappropriate usage of Hebrew, Donald, effectively illustrates my point about Hebrew Language Idolatry. In that way, I have to say, you have been helpful. Before your appearance on SI, I had only the weaker examples of Shalom hepzibah, Nathan, and the Markoffs. Recent converts to idolatrous cults are frequently more zealous than the oler memebers.
Love and praying for your liberty in Christ
