Hi Jeff, boy you are technical aren't you :). Thanks for all the info. Task bar - I have the one you describe, but how about the other one on the upper right corner we used to have. You know more of the same, but smaller buttons? Is that no longer available. Anyhow, my problem when PCQuote freezes is that when I click on the taskbar button nothing happens. Those are frozen as well. Though I can click on the browser one and get that going. The other thing strange is, every once in a while, when I shut it down my diskdrive makes such a strange noise as if it's taking a big hit. I have a feeling they don't like each other. I do recall one of the sales people telling me a shutdown is hard on the disk and she isn't kidding. I had no problems today. It was up all day. They called me saying enough of the trial business what are you going to do. So I am signing up for the full deal for $350. I recall you had said something about the news service ($50) that you hadn't liked. What do you use instead? By the way, where do you get memory etc. Do you go to CompUSA types of stores or do it mail order? Should I just call Gateway and get it from them to be sure or it doesn't make a difference.
