I think you missed my point. I just don't believe that K6 will run Windows NT better than a Pentium Pro. And if you want to get down to the specifics...all I have to do is replace the motherboard and CPU...hmm..can't be much more (if even more) then a 2nd tier processor like K6. By the way...do you think a K6 will be compatible to all pentium boards....NOT ! My board (Triton 2) only supports CPU's up to 133 mhz...like many current pent owners. So I can't upgrade even if I wanted to ! A respectable effort by AMD...nevertheless...but K6 is not in the same class as Pent Pro.

P.S. Regarding your observation on upgrades in the 486 class...I wonder how many people felt they made a wrong investment upgrading 486's and found that they couldn't run Win95....
