They aren't completely independent of each other. If I'm not mistaken, a number of analog circuits keep those boxes and other devices working via voltage regulators and what not. Of course I don't think the analog semi's see the same pricing pressures from competition seen on the digital side such as makers of computers, RAM, CPU's, disk drive's etc. Later Chucky
