John, yes my original post spoke about the number that investors
look at. What number do you think they looked at today? EIDSY
has had at least two other instances of extraordinary charges
during the past two years. What's the point of a one-time charge
if it happens more than once? My point is that there is always
more than one way to look at EPS. In the case of EIDSY, I think
most investors probably looked at the 20 cents number. Although
I have not done a poll to confirm this the stock's price gives
us a good indication.

I don't consider what CNBC says as dogma (I'm one of those people
who trade without a t.v. I know I miss out on Seinfeld.) Investors can
get EPS figures direct from a primary source.

It's somewhat odd you were poked in the eye by EIDSY's comps. and
and that the stock closed down sharply anyway. And this on a day
when NASDAQ actually managed to close positive.
