There is but greed will tear most anything apart. The standard that is being kicked around now is referred to as sub rate when it should be called sub standard. Notice that Cisco's modems which will be an option in Dell pc's are CAP based. Someone correct me if this is mis info. which gives substance to Wstl's game plan. Its now just a matter of execution which remains to be seen.
