<Could be wrong, but I'm thinking major short-covering.>
I agree. INDU/NDX performed considerably well this afternoon which would provide the motivation to cover. I'm in this afternoon 108.375 contemplating exit tomorrow morning.

WIRE: Microsoft Corp. is putting the finishing touches on
"Microsoft Start," code name for a comprehensive Internet site that will
showcase all of its on-line properties - from car-buying and travel-agency
services to news content, free e-mail and search engines, the San Francisco
Chronicle reported Tuesday.
The site, which is expected to be launched later this year, is a key part of
the software giant's plans to become an Internet middleman, taking a cut from
every transaction over the Internet that uses Microsoft technology.
The site, which would compete with America Online Inc., Yahoo! Inc. and
other Internet "portal" services, will likely be heavily promoted by links from
Microsoft's Internet-browser software. Although Microsoft's antitrust battle
with the Justice Department has focused on charges that Microsoft illegally
promoted its browser software, some market watchers think the company all along
was primarily interested in setting up a platform for electronic commerce.
