I own some of this stock and would love to see them get FDA approval so fast, but I know from past experience... FDA approval takes time, and i don't know where Dick Davis gets off suggesting a two month period. Does anyone have thoughts on this. Last month Taipan recommended AVIR, saying: "Aviron is working in collaboration with the National Institutes of Health. The NIH is so hot for this nasal spray, they want to get into schools as soon as possible." and later: "Aviron is expected to file for FDA approval no later than August. Given the urgency of this drug to hit the schools... and the new influenza strains (like Sydney and the Chicken flu), this drug could get the FDA's blessing two months after review -- just in time for the 1998-1999 flu season."
