Andrew & all,
since MASK is tooling up as indicated on this thread (new ETEC 0,.25 micron technology, PSM, OPC enabled), I would like to find out answers to the following question:

biz.yahoo.com
biz.yahoo.com
biz.yahoo.com
biz.yahoo.com

1) Let's assume that MASK can put this to work quickly. How far behind will they still be compared to PLAB & DPMI ?

2) How long does it normally take (months, quarters) to put the newly acquired technology to work, what could we expect as a realistic time-span MASK will need to master the acquired equipmenet ? More than 1-2 quarters ?

3) Do You think that they could grab some market share away from DPMI & PLAB ? Revenue of MASK is just something like $45 million per year. DPMI & PLAB are 4-5 times bigger..

From the press release I infer MASK is staffing up & tooling up to 0.25 micron. Since the balance sheet will be hit immediately I would expect 1-2 weak quarters ahead before we are seing top line growth (revenues, margins). However I could be wrong with that and the opportunity is even closer ahead.

Any clues ?

kind regards
CROSSY
