Wahoograd:
I believe last week's news appeared on WAVX's website in the late evening, but did not come out on the major business news wires until the following morning (one item did not even beat the opening bell, if I recall correctly). Some of the news was delayed further getting to Yahoo, for example, because of satellite problems.
If the news is particularly significant and there is a reason for timing things just right, then it is likely it will not get on WAVX's website this time until after it is released to the general public.
One caveat here: Technically, WAVX has never said there would be a major announcement, or any announcement, at E3. We have all created this expectation based upon other things the company has said or done, and there have been innumerable rumors here and on Yahoo as well. I personally subscribe to the view that a portion of the market already knows about this "imminent news," which in turn has caused the stock to perform remarkably well the past couple weeks in the absence of the news getting out to everyone. We'll see.
