rrman, I ask various people about their investments (John Q) from time to just to see what their remarks will be. Their standard comment when I tell them the market was down big is "it'll be back up in a few days!" They truly believe that this market will never stay down and damned if I am not beginning to believe they are right and that I have outsmarted myself. I honestly do not know what will ever make them quit putting money into the MF's let alone start taking any out. They take it for granted that they will always make money in this market(this has been repeated by many on this thread before)and they REALLY don't worry about it. The old adage "Ignorance is Bliss" has sure paid off for them. I personally have missed 1500 or so DOW points by being fully cash since Sept last year. The problem is that the further I let it go up, the harder it is to buy in; therefore, I guess I will just have to sit on the sidelines and watch. I REFUSE to let this market have my hard earned money. It is really disgusting to me to see what I know is MANIA continue to be rewarded. Monty
