Very uplifting LA Times article latimes.com It reminds me of a story. One of my friends had just started building 6 foot long skateboards you could put a windsurfer rig on, with iceboat runners or wheels. I ordered one of his first boards after riding his demo. The thin was so fast on the ice it was scary. I custom ordered a tequila-sunrise paint job, against Mark's wishes. "Dammit- it's just paint!" he told me. "I know that", I said. "But just you watch." The board was the best you could buy, and cheaper than anyone elses. What did eveyone ask? "Can I get that paint job." Now, I have an engineer's heart, but I also know what I like- The author of this article is a refreshing change from many people's so-called "reality."
