Udo, Its not that I'm against PR. I just do not see how pertinent they are to CIST's business plan under the circumstances. They now have $$, we all know that with the news on the settlement a couple of weeks back. The next quarterly report in early Februaury may more thoroughly review the settlement and what accrued to CIST,including detailing the improved balance sheet.
From everything I have seen and if the past is any indication they are probably diligently working with their lawyers on how they can best leverage their now strengthened patent position with other reagent suppliers that may have been and still are infringing upon them. They now have a financial windfall, further proof they can win these cases and will fight them with more than capable lawyers. Their legal representation is a who's who of patent lawyers. Thats barely touching upon the various ways they MAY grow the business.
Perhaps they dont feel comfortable or desire to reveal their hand. Perhaps they believe it to be of little significance in the grand scheme. Believe me other reagent companies are well aware of the IMNX and Peprotech cases and a little PR will do nothing to add to that. The case was widely followed in the industry and their competitors are all well aware of the recent outcomes and possible implications.
My guess as to what a further press release right now will do: -a one day pop to the 50 cent range, shortly followed by another pullback to roughly current levels. -then what, do you want them to issue another release reiterating the facts to satiate nervous, anxiety ridden s/h's? -these concerns are truly irrelevant to the future success of CIST.
Proof in the numbers through a cash rich balance sheet, further strengthened by rapidly growing revenues and solid earnings and CIST could hit everyones target prices in a more PERMANENT fashion.
I'm improvising here but recall, the most recent auditors warning (that I believe you and Greg Pfau touched upon as major concerns) also stated that "the future of CIST depends in large part upon improved finances and implementation of their business strategy. So in fact a strategy exists, this is only logical. Its implementing this strategy that is now important. I would expect (and hope) their plan to be something on the lines of what has been discussed in this forum and one that will WITH TIME significantly enhance s/h value. Suffice it to say the coming quarters will reveal a great deal as to what course CIST plans to pursue and what kind of potential is here, regardless of whether detailed PR is released or not.
"Patience Reigns" Do your own homework. I own shares in CIST, intend to hold for the long term, unless the equation changes dramatically, and can live with the consequences should CIST fail to meet my price targets. |
