I must be missing something. I just tried the above using Windows Explorer and I can not see how it could be any easier. I highlighted Windows, then edit select all, then ctrl deselect win386.swp, then right click copy then left click on a windows directory on my D drive and then paste. The keystrokes took about 20 seconds and then about 10 minutes for all files and directories and their contained files except win386.swp copied including system files.
