I just wanted to add a few things to what you are saying. I
heard Larry Ellison talk at OOW a few weeks back and he was of
the opinion that NCs will be given away for free just the way
Cellular phones are. I agree with him 100%. Oracle hopes to
gain by breaking the Wintel monopoly and for they first time
they have a chance to establish themselves on open standards
and not on standards set by Microsoft. In fact, with the Network
Computing Architecture they can very much set the standards along
with Sun and Netscape.
