ALL the noise you hear on the news wire is about ADSL which is targeted for the average JOE consumer surfing the net for example.
PAIR's core business has always been in HDSL as a T1 alternative (T1 speed, 1.5M both ways) as opposed to ADSL which is up to 9M downloading and 1M uploading.
When ADSL gets implemented in the marketplace, you will someday go to the local computer store and buy ADSL modems off the shelf as you do now with 28k, 33k or 56k analog modems.
Since Rockwell is a major supplier of analog modem chips and has been for a long time now, don't be surprised to see the falcon chip (PAIR chip) in these modems,and/or any variation of the falcon chip that may be introduced in the future.
I am not worried about the short term volatility and every news piece that comes out about DSL and trying to see where PAIR fits in. In 2 - 5 years, there will be alot of industry consolidation in this field. CSCO, COMS, ASND, LU, etc.. will either eat the small fish or assimilate them into their collective (I am borg, resistance is futile.....<Star Trek>...)
So.... PAIR has a nice niche market and lots of cash and low debt.. A nice takeover candidate ONLY when the BIG FISH get really hungry and the DSL market starts the BOOM phase..
PAIR is suffering from the "I don't know jack $hit syndrome about the telecom industry" from the "SHARKS" who trade PAIR and react to every glitch.... Go back 1 year and you will read the same babble as you read now on this thread... hee hee..

P.S. 3+ weeks until option expiration day, so that means PAIR will close around $17.5 plus or minus a hair, then make a nice move to $20 for July's expiration.. You heard it from the PIRATE, the SHARK KILLER, Muhwahahahaha !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
