=ON TOPIC= Anyone care to discuss this and next quarter's earnings and short/medium term movement of the stock price? (There seems to be a non-contentious belief that long-term the stock is a no-brainer). The big doubt causing many analysts and commentators to hold back on CPQ is whether there will be another warning soon, whether earnings will be down or flat, whether guidance from the company will be bullish or bearish, whether any such negatives will be confined to this quarter. The substance to the doubt is worry about inventory and the reduced margins needed to clear it; the potential drag on margins and general performance arising from the merger: depressed sales in Asia. Would anyone care to summarise what is actually known about this quarter? Victor
