<Looks like Netscape is releasing a multi-platform "IE4" before Microsoft gets it out for Windows95:>

It has become apparent that the "internet time" for both companies have been increased significantly due to the complexitites and sheer amount of coding needed to produce the type of products in question. I have a strong feeling that MSFT has thier IE 4.0 tested and ready to ship, but are waiting for NSCP's move. It is highly unlikely that NSCP could consisetently bring a product to market faster than MSFT. MSFT's internet team is larger than NSCP's entire payroll, so no matter what skill set advantage NSCP may or may not have, they are overcome by the sheer weight of numbers. There is presently no advantage to MSFT releasing IE 4.0 before NSCP releases Communicator. IE is currently the technology darling, garnering the best reveiws. IE 4.0 will compete with NAV 4.0 but the rest of the Communicator suite will have to compete directly with Office '97, a very tough battle indeed.
