It therefore does NOT compete with Ascend's ATM switches, but quite possibly it does with Cisco's routers. I agree. But it would compete with ASND's GRF line, sort of. Actually, it looks like a competitor to a follow-on to the GRF1600, given its bandwidth claims. If LU's bandwidth and packet throughput claims are true, the definitely takes the high road against CSCO's high end switch/router Catalyst line. Either ASND is content competing at the low end with the GRF400/1600, or they will also be coming out with this type of product soon. It could be an area where they might be considering an acquistion of a startup.?.? It seems like not too long ago that the 1600 was a high end product. Gary
