Gentlemen (and a few ladies),

I have read all the techno-bable and don't understand most of it. There was a post last night, however, that said it all about INTEL INSIDE = QUALITY INSIDE. I am your average home computer user, who "has to have" the latest machine and buy a new computer every 2 years or so. That being said, some of the detracters are missing the point on price. Even if the AMD or CYRIX chip cost HALF of what an "equivalent" Intel chip cost, that would only translate into a price break of a few hundred dollars on the finshed box. If I am gonna spend $3000 for a new box, I am NOT gonna take a chance on "NOT INTEL INSIDE" to get it for $2700. The fact that I and the masses DO NOT UNDERSTAND the technobable is all the more reason that I will buy Intel. Sure, the other chip ****MIGHT**** be OK, but how will we know?
"Intel Inside" is more than just a cutesy slogan and has tremendous value for the company.
