- "Why don't you do me the favor and explain why you would want to keep this sinking ship afloat"

-> How am I keeping this sinking ship afloat? Seems that all I have done is ask questions, and post facts. I admit that I assumed that you were comparing LNET with ONCO. Now I assume that you believe that LNET is a lousy business that will be stuffed as the result of a law suit. I am surprised at your use of verbiage such as "This is fallacious and misleading." In my lexicon, these words are loaded. Why so harsh?

- "(and don't worry about being too technical, I think I can handle it)."

-> Thanks. I spent yesterday afternoon in a seminar with Charlie Munger, and you know how hard it can be to dumb it down for him.

- "IMHO, this isn't company can't be valued like a cable company who enjoys geographic monopolies."

-> I don't understand this. Why wouldn't you value it that way? In fact isn't it a better monopoly than cable? How else would someone get into the hotel-motel room if these guys have a franchise? And if so, why wouldn't they securitize the bank debt? This company is growing very rapidly. If they arbitrarily stop the capital investment, they should turn cash positive very quickly.

The number series you posted re: cash and debt load don't seem very different from others in this class of businesses. Hence the use of EBIDTA. So why not use it? Teach me.

I am ignorant about the issues surrounding the lawsuit. I reposted the info about general counsel for ONCO from Yahoo. It is unverified. The summary judgement thing was a non-event I assume, as they usually are. On Calendar for August I assume means that it should occur before 2000. I'll look at the patent. Thank you for the reference. I had assumed that if ONCO's patent were the key to their business, they would have mentioned that fact in their 10K/Q. I will ask around in the technical community.
