The Board of Directors of MIDL must have voted on and approved the distribution of the P's. Safe to assume that these same board members hold substantial number of shares of MIDLP. Thus they are
granting all share holders, including themselves, these dividends. So they may not be distributing them out of kindness, but it may also be somewhat self-serving.
