Rob,

Before Nextel updated their website, they had the 1000 on it. They stated that it would have modem capabilities. The sales rep. in my area told me it would be around 9600 bps., I'm not 100% on the speed, he is pretty unreliable. A friend of mine just started as a Nextel Rep., and I might be able to get more information about the 1000, if your interested.
