Apparently responding to my doubts about microsoft taking over the computing world, Reg said "The same could have been said about IBM , then bang - the entire computing world was IBM." No Reg, IBM dominated the computing world (or more properly, the data processing world) right from the start; it didn't "boom" take over anything. It was already a big company before computers, selling the "business machines" of the day, and its culture of customer service was a good fit for the when computers were cranky and unreliable. IBM's customer oriented culture always kept it on good terms in the corporate world; do you really thing MSFT can say the same? Sorry, I'm really going to quit now. Cheers, Dan.
