NEWSYS SOLUTIONS INC. RANKS 15TH AMONG CANADA'S 100 FASTEST-GROWING COMPANIES - PROFIT MAGAZINE
Today's announcement comes two weeks after Ottawa-based consulting
services company completes listing on the Alberta Stock Exchange
OTTAWA, May 28 /CNW/ - NewSys Solutions Inc. (ASE: NSS) today was named
as Canada's fifteenth fastest-growing company. The announcement was made in
Toronto at 10 a.m. by Profit Magazine as it unveiled its ''1998 Profit 100'',
an annual listing of Canada's top 100 companies as measured by revenue growth.
Ottawa-based NewSys is a consulting services firm, offering ''intelligent
business solutions'' to customer needs in the areas of technology, information
management and internet applications. Revenues over the past five years rose
2,888 per cent.
Today's honour comes two weeks after the formerly privately-held NewSys
transformed itself into a public company on the Alberta Stock Exchange,
trading under the symbol NSS. This marks the second year the company has
cracked Profit Magazine's survey of the country's fastest-growing companies.
NewSys was ranked 86th in the 1997 survey.

For its most recent fiscal year - ending September 30, 1997 - NewSys
recorded revenue of $9.7-million, an increase of 120 per cent over
year-earlier results.
NewSys executives will be honoured by Profit Magazine at a noon-hour
luncheon on June 4 in Ottawa. Details of this event will be provided to media
