I read my first book on technical analysis this weekend and applied what I read to TLTK and a few others I trade. The author's point was that following a correction in an uptrend low volume is a healthy sign. According to his methods, we should continue to see low volume as some are relieved to be able to sell where they bought in at 8.5, 9.5, 10. We all know that a lot of people bought in those ranges, so we may experience slowness in breaking through that $10 'resistance'. He predicts that volume will significantly increase as those sellers fade and we break through the 'resistance'. I was concerned that the price did not bounce back to $9 after the correction until I read this book. Just thought I'd post this for those who may have had the same feelings. Any techies out there care to elaborate (or correct) my newbie TA? Can anyone tell me the DAY that earnings are released?
