You are definitely right on that score. I agree whole heartedly. However, in order to keep good people you have to pay them for working for you, and I'm not sure what the cost of living increase was for the time period that they didn't get raises, and 2 years is 5,000 a year, quite in line with what should be expected specifically since they took a cut in 96.

Perhaps they know why they did this and we don't. None of it will matter once the deal is announced and we do want these people to get credit where credit is due. And we certainly wouldn't be happy if they took a 20,000 raise when the deal is announced now would we??? And we do know it is to be announced in the next few months.

I think what really matters, is are they being over paid for work that they are doing, or is it in line with other similar companies compensation.
