At some level I agree... However, the complaints should be submitted to your US Senators and Representatives regarding the government protecting us from ourselves via the SEC. Have you ever tried to register an offering in the US? I suspect this is offered in Europe due to less stingent regulatory environment. If it was a level playing field with regard to regulation, I'll bet we'd be allowed to buy as much of the bond offering as we wanted.
