Police: Comedian Phil Hartman found dead

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Canadian-born actor and comedian Phil Hartman, the ''Saturday Night Live'' star
known for his impersonation of President Clinton, was found dead from gunshot wounds at his estate Thursday, police
said.
His wife, Brynn, was also found dead at the home in suburban Los Angeles and police said it appeared she shot
Hartman, then killed herself as police arrived.
Two children were removed from the house, located in an upscale section of Encino, California, about 15 miles west of
Los Angeles. The children's identity were not immediately known, police said.
Hartman, 49, was found in his bed.
Police said they responded to a call about 6 a.m. local time (9 a.m. EDT) from people in the area who heard gunshots.
Police raced to the scene and discovered the bodies.
