India is expansionist only in their Hindu Nationalistic Party. They
would love to be known as a world power of importance.....(Right up
there ahead of Indonesia.) But that is mythological in character and
certainly not obtainable without an extraodinary change within the
entire society. Almost unimaginable within the next 100 years.

Bancladesh and Pakistan are fragments of a historical India as are
Bhutan, Nepal and Kashmir(1947 partition)...the British found a mess
there in the 1780's and the long subjugation of that land did not creat
the present problems....they just postponed them. The British ruled, but
they also gave something too India....an extended period of stability,
infrastructure and a relative peace from the religious wars that proceeded
the British. Although not traditional expansionists in recent history, the
capacity for nationalistic glory is always under the rug.

China is a mystery....I've never understood China's interest or concern
over India....nor Pakistan. I do understand their interests in Russian
territories especially along the coastline and I expect them to own
the Sea of Okhotsk someday or even Kazakstan....but why bother with
India and her neighbors...must be for practicing dipolmatic relations
or training dipolmats....or selling armaments.

No stronge sanctions on India....just a lot of noise.
I think you are right-on with the politicians. They are much more
concerned with capitalism, economic expansion and maintaining their
territories of power. If Asia weakens and Russia weakens they will have a
lot to do. Send the Prince of Wales for a token of respect.

ECU and Asia -- Russia and the Baltic states are enough of a bother. And
of course "Slick Willey" is more interested in the new drug Niagara for
women.....and preserving his place in history then creating any more
hot spots in the world.

Buchannan ought to join hands with that Texan and the radio commentation
Rush Linbra....they could start their own Nationalistic Party and
protectionist politics and really create a solid country. Maybe they
could colonialize Mexico rather then trading with the country.
What will they use Newt for..?
I understand New Hampshire will be their new Capital.
I'd better stop
Chip
PS...Astronomers just discovered the 1st planet outside of our solar
system....450 Light Years away....2-3 times the size of Jupiter in the
Taurus system. They are very excited.
