Bob: Thanks for that citation. A chilling report, indeed, especially
as regards the so-called "embedded chips", i.e., those portions of
hardware that are date sensitive and escape software revisions. Gary
North rubbed salt into the Y2K wound by suggesting that the savviest
of the Y2K programmers would, for safety sake, "head for the hills"
as they realized their best efforts were for naught, thereby compound-
ing the problem.
