Another myth -- writers don't necessarily win more than buyers.

Many options do expire worthless, but that does not mean that you can consistently win by being a writer either -- covered or uncovered.

Covered writing is more conservative than just owning stock if done properly, but you can't expect to outpace just owning stocks in a bull market (using the total return concept -- profit from stock and options).
