I agree with your perception of the general public's attitude: "Their standard comment when I tell them the market was down big is 'it'll be back up in a few days!'" However, I heard an interesting, apparently contrarian, comment on a radio talk show this weekend regarding the "mania." The talk show host (Bob Brinker) stated that much talk of the current "mania" or "stock market bubbles" is presented by people who have been bearish on the market for some time. Bob thinks that the "stock market bubble" reasoning is set forth as an excuse for not being in the market during one of history's greatest bull markets. Best wishes, I2
