Good Grief, the next XCOM is a FPS using the Unreal engine. That is REALLY STUPID. By the time it comes out, the FPS market will be absolutely totally saturated - Sin, Unreal, Half-Life, Max-Payne, Prey, Duke Nukem 4, Heritic 2, Blood 2, Riot, Quake 3 and so on. Everytime I figure it can't get worse, it does. And how can they release another Civ 2 expansion - is there no Civ 3 on the horizen, are we stuck at Civ 2 forever. Someone made a good point about multiplayer Civ 2. Civ 2 takes a LONG time to play, its not the best choice for a multiplayer game - I don't see tons of people rushing to get it. Had they named it Civ 3 - might have had alot more buyers.
I assume anyone hoping for an E3 inspired rally in MPRS stock has given up and is selling and that is why the stock is down to 5 3/4.
I was a "Target" and "Walmart" this weekend - not a single Microprose game on the shelf.
Market Cap falling fast - down to 32 million and still no companies interested. After what happened to GTIS stock price when they tried to takeover MPRS, and considering how much Wall Street hates MPRS, I wonder if any company would even have the courage to try a takeover, even at a much lower price. do I hear 50 million? 40 million?
Stupid of MPRS to sell Railroad Barrons 2 to G.O.D. - it would have been a hit. It was on the cover of Computer Games Strategy Plus this past month.
