Eric thanks for posting the information. It appears that the competition is heating up and Triby needs to move fast. Is there any data available on how Triby is doing with Unigold HIV test in countries other than USA? that is, if they have started marketing, how much they are shipping/have shipped? The importance of timely filing for FDA approval becomes even more important if triby is to gain ground in US market. Also, if they have not already started marketing HIV Unigold tests Internationally, a late entry may pose a significant obstacle if other's brands get established even if Unigold technology may be slightly better (since Beacon is Saliva based etc). Having more competition is not necessarily bad because it implies more players are seeing a large market share but getting products out of the door quick is more important in this game. Can anyone familiar with the rapid HIV technology comment on how difficult it is technically for another US company to come out with one step Saliva based technology (equivalent to Unigold)? that could have potential of a serious threat to Triby.
