CheckFree's real and only competition: CitiBank.

I've been informed (via Yahoo), that Bank of Boston is now doing bill Pay, using CitiBank. As you can see in these rankings Citibank is #3 and BB is #4:

fso.faulknergray.com

I'm not sure where BB ranks as far as Assets (71 billion)? But I don't think they are in the top 10. BB is not a member of Integrion either.
The good news is that using the BB website:

bankboston.com

You can get an Idea of how good the Citibank Bill Pay is. Possible problems:

1. Today you have to sign directly into a BB server, not through the internet.
2. Requires the computer to be equipped with Homelink software, unlike Wells Fargo, NFCU, etc.
3. "How are HomeLink bill payments made? HomeLink pays your bills in two ways. The most common way is by mailing an official check"
4. Generally, the busiest times for HomeLink are between 7 p.m. and 11
p.m., Sunday through Thursday. In other words, there are some availability problems.
5. Their demo sucks, at least compared to AIB.
6. You must set up electronic payees differently than non-electronic.

Benny (the more you know the better off you are).
